Dragons fall in extra-innings

Sonoma shortstop Chris Swanson awaits the throw as a Casa Grande runner slides into second base in Friday's key SCL matchup. The Dragons took an early 3-0 lead, but Casa kept chipping away and tied the game at 5 with two runs in the sixth inning. Casa won the game 8-5 with a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth. The loss creates a three-way tie at the top of the SCL with Sonoma, Casa and Petaluma all sporting 8-2 conference records. The Dragons host Analy Tuesday and San Marin Wednesday. Both games start at 7 p.m.
