Dr. Robin Knuttel earns national honor

Sonoma dermatologist number one in the nation

Sonoma Dermatologist, Robin Knuttel, M.D., was recently honored by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery as the top volunteer screener in the nation among almost 300 volunteer dermatologic surgeons providing free skin cancer screenings nationwide.

Since 2010, skin cancer has been officially acknowledged as an epidemic in the U.S. and more than one million cases of skin cancer were diagnosed by the end of that same year.
Partnering together for the fourth year on the "Choose Skin Health" education campaign to fight this growing epidemic, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) along with Dr. Knuttel, encourage everyone to schedule annual skin cancer screening. 

Every year, May through August, Dr. Knuttel, who owns Sonoma Skin Dermatology and Laser Center, provides free screenings to those who do not have medical insurance or a dermatologist.
