Don't be so cheeky
Editor, Index-Tribune:
According to the Sept. 7 edition of the San Francisco Chronicle, a city supervisor has introduced legislation that bans nudists from sitting directly on public benches.
Firstly, I was led to believe that being naked anywhere was offensive and unacceptable - that's what my wife told me.
Secondly, nudists do enjoy showing off their genitals and many are very friendly and hard-working (the nudists - not their genitals).
If you're naked in Golden Gate Park and you think you hear the benches calling out, "Sit on me, sit on me," then getting a citation for indecent exposure is the least of your problems. If you do decide to sit here and there displaying your genitals, make sure that you take appropriate precautions and cover them as snugly as possible (the benches - not your genitals).
