Editor, Index-Tribune:
This Thursday, Dec. 1, I will be the Ambassador to HopMonk Tavern for the Dining Out For Life benefit for Food For Thought, the Sonoma County Aids Food Bank.
Food For Thought is a non-profit grass roots organization dedicated to meeting the nutritional needs of all persons living with HIV/AIDS in Sonoma County, regardless of financial, sexual, racial, religious, political or any other attitudinal preferences and proclivities. Simply dine out at a participating restaurant – the ones in Sonoma Valley are HopMonk Tavern, Cafe 522, Centre du Vin at the Ledson Hotel, El Dorado Kitchen, Hot Box Grill, Mamma Tanino’s Ristorante, Maya Restaurant, Murphy’s Irish Pub, Saddles Steakhouse, Sonoma Wine Shop/La Bodega and The Plaza Bistro – and the restaurant will donate either 25 or 50 percent of your bill to Food For Thought- Sonoma County AIDS Food Bank.
More information can be found at diningoutforlife.com or by calling 887-1647. Dine out on Thursday, Dec, 1 and make this World AIDS Day a day that makes a difference. Also on Dec. 1, there will be a World AIDS Awareness Day vigil in front of City Hall from 5 to 6 p.m. Bring a candle.
