Democrats to host picnic

Sonoma Valley Democratic Club will hold its annual picnic on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the northeast section of the Sonoma Plaza, near the Bear Flag statue.

Mayor Laurie Gallian, City Councilmember Ken Brown, and other elected officials will attend. The club will provide barbecued chicken, hot dogs, soft drinks, paper plates and utensils.

Attendees should bring a dish to share and chairs or a blanket to sit on. People with last names A-H are asked to bring an appetizer, I-Q a salad, R-Z a dessert.
