Curious about donated afghans

Jun 20, 2011 - 03:14 PM

Editor, Index-Tribune:

Last Friday, June 10, someone left three large cardboard boxes at the door of the FISH Clothes Room in Boyes Hot Springs. The only identification we could find on the boxes was "volunteer SVCS" (no address or phone number).

When we opened the boxes, we found more than 50 beautifully hand crocheted and hand-knitted afghans for babies. They were all colors. This beautiful gift was delivered to the maternity ward at Sonoma Valley Hospital to be included with the layettes that one of our volunteers assembles from the many donations of baby clothes, etc. received from Sonoma residents.

We would like to identify these generous and gifted volunteers. Do you know who they are?
