Colombia is not Columbia

Editor, Index-Tribune:

In the Oct. 4 Index-Tribune you ran a letter titled,
“Creekside kids trying to save Columbia orphans.”


Please make note of this wonderful effort by the Creekside kids. However, it is important for them, in my opinion, to spell the country’s name correctly. It is spelled “Colombia,” not Columbia.
If they are trying to help an United States city named Columbia, then that is a different story. My wishes are for them to be successful. Mis-spelling the cause doesn’t seem to be helpful.
