Carol Ileen Lile

At home in Sonoma, surrounded by family and friends, Carol Ileen Lile passed peacefully away on March 23, 2011. She was 89. She was in the compassionate and loving care of Hospice By The Bay.

A native of Waterloo, Iowa, she lived most of her life in Southern California. She moved to Sonoma in 1994 to be close to her family and fell in love with her new home. Carol made many new friends with ease and shared fun and laughter playing Bingo.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Lile and Don Lile; by a daughter, Judy Todd; by a sister, Darlene Peterson; and by a brother, Leland Mosher; by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Her wish in life and her greatest joy was to be a wife and mother. Carol would share with everyone that she felt so blessed, and that her family were her greatest joy. Her sister Darlene held a very special place in her heart; she was her best friend, and her children, her greatest success in life.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service and celebration of her life on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Duggan’s Mission Chapel, 525 W. Napa St., Sonoma, CA 95476.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name and memory to Hospice By The Bay, 190 W. Napa St., Sonoma, CA 95476.
