Business start-up workshop set
The Sonoma Valley Economic Development Partnership has teamed with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to bring the "So You Want to Start a Business" workshop series to Sonoma.
This workshop provides small business start-up information to people who have developed a business concept. In three sessions, participants will learn the marketing, financial, and business planning skills needed to evaluate an idea and launch a business. Upon finishing all three modules and drafting a business plan, participants may begin working individually with an SBDC Business Advisor at no charge.
Workshop instructor is local SBDC business advisor Tina Eastman, who has over 30 years experience in owning and managing smalll businesses. She has been the CEO and COO for small and mid-size companies, and has worked in a variety of industries and service businesses.
The workshop will be held locally on three consecutive evenings, Aug. 9, 10 and 11, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $45. To register, visit www.sbdcsantarosa.org or contact Annemarie Wilmarth at the Santa Rosa SBDC, 524-1770. More information on resources for local businesses is available at www.SonomaValley4Biz.com.
