Beware of me, I am a voter

Editor, Index-Tribune:

 

I lurk in the dim lights of TV, most nights

and cringe at some words that I hear.

I growl at the people I didn't vote for,

and promise the same for next year.

 

I'm constantly telling all politicians

that my view of things is the best,

and I wish they would cut out the chatter

and listen to what I suggest.

 

I'm an American, red, white and blue,

also yellow and black,

and I get pretty upset now and again

when my brothers come under attack.

 

They all are my family, every last one,

So treat all of them with respect.

I'll tell you right now, if you can't figure how,

You won't be the guy we elect.
