Baseball Dragons host SCL rival Casa today at Arnold; softball girls get forfeit, hosting Thursday
The inaugural Sonoma Green and White Alumni Baseball Game took place Saturday night at Arnold Field, with an array of former Dragon standouts participating, including Tony Moll (right), who switched from the professional gridiron – on which he plays for Baltimore Ravens – to the diamond. A wrap with all the Dragon alumni who participated will appear in a future I-T issue.
On the heels of hosting Sonoma Valley High School’s inaugural Green and White Alumni Baseball Game Saturday evening, the varsity baseball Dragon boys get back to the business of battling for the Sonoma County League title.
Unbeaten in league after three games, the Dragons have a current 7-4 overall record, and will host longtime SCL rival Casa Grande in a 4 p.m. showdown today at Arnold Field, before traveling to Sebastopol this Friday afternoon, April 15, to face league foe Analy.
The Dragon boys return home next Tuesday night, April 19, to host defending SCL champion Petaluma at 7 p.m. under the Arnold Field lights, before hosting Windsor in a league game on Friday, April 22.
Sonoma’s softball girls got a nonleague forfeit win on Friday when Ursuline didn’t turn up for the game due to an internal-team matter.
The Lady Dragons travel to Forestville today to face league foe El Molino, before hosting defending SCL champion Analy this Thursday, April 14, at 4 p.m. on the high school field.
