Behind Michael Hernandez's arm and bat, the Sonoma Valley High baseball Dragons won their third straight Friday night beating Windsor 7-0.
Hernandez threw a two-hit shutout, drove in two runs with a single in the fifth inning and scored a run.
The Dragons managed only four hits, but one of them was a long, solo home run by Brennan Cole leading off the fifth. Cole's blast was a no-doubter easily clearing the right-field fence.
Five Windsor errors, four walks and three hit batsmen helped out the Sonoma cause. Catcher Sam Morgan got plunked twice.
The Dragons put up two runs in the second, added three more in the fifth and put the game out of reach with two more in the sixth. The win gives the Dragons a 10-6 overall record and a 6-1 record in SCL play. More importantly, the Dragons are all alone in first place in the conference. They're a game ahead of Petaluma and Casa Grande who are both tied for second.
Sonoma travels to Healdsburg Tuesday and then return to Arnold Field next Friday night to take on El Molino.
