BBQ Spareribs

On the Bar-B-Que or Oven
Ingredients:
- 4 lbs. farmstyle spare ribs
- 1 cup catsup or chile sauce
- 2 t. salt
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 t. dry mustard
- 1 cup sliced onion
- 1 cup water
- 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- butter
Preparation - Directions:
Cut spare ribs in serving pieces, trimming off excess fat. Brown well in butter in heavy skillet. Drain off fat. Place in 9 inch by 13 inch by 2 inch baking dish. Combine other ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover with foil, bake in moderate oven (350°) 1-3/4 hours. Basting sauce over ribs 3 or 4 times during cooking period. Bake uncovered 15 minutes. 6 servings.
