Art Guild plans opening reception
The public is invited to the opening reception for June's Invitational and Member's Show on Friday, June 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Arts Guild of Sonoma. The show runs from June 2 thru July 5.
The Guild's annual June Invitational includes guest artists invited by guild members to show their work in the gallery. John Ager, Bryan Barasch, Elizabeth Dekker, Lisa Ellis, Eden Pieper, Don Ponte, Beverly Prevost and Linda Semple are among the guest artists.
The following member artists will also be exhibiting during June: Patricia Akay, Barbara Aliza, Pat Biggs, Beth Changstrom, George Dawney, Irene Ehret, Zaza Fetterly, Christine Gonzalves, Katherine Green, Susan Heeringa-Pieper, Ray Jacobsen, Paul Kirley, Sandra Lane, Christine MacDonald, Andrea Giovanna Patri, Katie Richardson, David Ross, Joan Shepherd, Sharon Sittloh, Lyn Swan and Thena Trygstad. The artists' works include pieces in acrylic, encaustic, oil and watercolor paintings, jewelry, mixed media work, metal sculpture and more, including smaller objects d'art and note cards.
Located at 140 E. Napa St. in Sonoma, the gallery is wheelchair accessible and free to the public. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday, and is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Exhibits change monthly.
The guild also coordinates art exhibits, workshops, scholarships and other opportunities for Sonoma Valley's youth and adults.

i recently purchased a charcoal drawing of two zebras, the artist is linda semple, its beautiful, anyway i was wondering what year was it that she drew this piece. i'd appreciate any information you can give me. thank you karla atchley
