Annie F. Galeazzi

Annie was born on June 12, 1924, in Santa Rosa, and died on July 10, 2011.

She was the daughter of Arturo and Caterina Babbini, and the sister of Elmer Babbini. Anne spent her early years in Lincoln, and moved to Santa Rosa in 1936, graduating from Santa Rosa High School in 1941.

On March 9, 1952, Anne married Remo Galeazzi, her husband of 59 years. They began their married life in San Rafael, moved to Petaluma in 1954, and welcomed their daughter, Rae, in 1956. She worked for a variety of companies and organizations throughout her long working career, including Hardisty's, Taylor Vaccaro Optical, Boy Scouts of America and Tomasini's. She spent many years working as an accounts receivable clerk for Waste Management, where she retired in 1988.

Annie is survived by her husband, Remo; daughter, Rae; nieces, Nancy Babbini Ward and Nina Galeazzi Jones (Richard); nephew, Ronald; beloved grandnieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She was truly loved by all who knew her for her cheerful and lively spirit - she was a lady with a warm smile for all, and never a harsh or unkind word for anyone. The world is a sweeter place for her having been in it.

A funeral Liturgy was said on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa, with entombment following.
