Amye L. Elems (Garner)

Amye L. Elems (Garner) passed away on July 16, 2011, in Sonoma, where she was surrounded by loving family.

Amye was born on Nov. 11, 1934, in Oklahoma, to James and Maude Garner. She moved to California when she was 16-years-old and remained there for the duration of her life. She raised her daughters in Stockton and retired in Elk Grove.

Amye is survived by her two daughters, Debra Bell Hertwig and Kathleen Aahl; seven grandchildren, Amelia, Merideth, Kate, Tyler, Erik, Kristian and Jorrin; and three great-grandchildren, Layla, Molly and Gunnar.

She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed.

At her request there will be no funeral, however the family will host a celebration of her life in Sonoma.
