Alma Jones

Alma Jones passed peacefully away in Sonoma on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011; she was 90. A lovely lady who adored her family, her garden and her cat, "Kitty Bird," her devoted companion.

Alma was a native of Fresno and a 60-year resident of Sonoma.

She is survived by her loving children, Patti Jenkins (Randy Bryson) and Robert (Pat) Jones. She is also survived by her brother Walter (Delia) Hartwig, of Fresno; nephews, Jerry and Marty (Karen) Hartwig; grand-niece Kristina and grand-nephew Matthew, of Fresno. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Albin Jones. Alma was a volunteer of the Sonoma Valley Hospital Auxiliary for many years.

She loved spending time with her family. She was a terrific cook and her homemade cookies were a favorite. She loved nature and her garden of flowers with its many hummingbirds.

Her presence and warmth will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service and celebration of her life on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Duggan's Mission Chapel, 525 W. Napa St. 95476. Private Interment, Mountain Cemetery, Sonoma.
