Alexis Jones to address mentors and mentees
Alexis Jones
Women and girls in the Stand By Me Mentoring Program are invited to attend an inspirational and motivational workshop featuring Alexis Jones, founder of the “I Am That Girl” movement.
The workshop will be held in the Stone Building at The Lodge at Sonoma, 1325 Broadway, on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 3 p.m.
Jones is 28 years old and very accomplished for such a young woman. She was a contestant on the popular prime time TV show, “Survivor,” was the host of the TV show “On the Red Carpet” for three years, and was invited by First Lady Michelle Obama to come to the White House in October.
She is passionate, charismatic and her message is one that all middle and high school mentees need to hear: That girls who believe in themselves are beauty-full. For more information on Jones, go to her website, iamthatgirl.com.
Mentors are encouraged to bring their mentees to this one-time presentation. Jones is in Sonoma Valley for another few weeks, completing the last few chapters of her first book.
For more information on the event, call Kathy at the Mentoring Alliance, at 938-1990.
