Aldo served his country in World War II for the United States Army in the Pacific. He was a long standing member of the Native Sons of the Golden West, Elks, Sonoma County Trail Blazers and the Hitch and Bitch Riding and Driving Society. He was an assistant fire chief for the Schellville Fire Department in Schellville, near Sonoma, where he was born and lived for almost 70 years. Living in Lathrop for the past almost 20 years, Aldo got to live out his dream of raising and caring for many harness mules with his loving wife Della. Together they have taught many men, women and children how to ride, drive and care for mules and horses. They have volunteered their services, animals, wagons, property and more to help their friends and peers raise charity money and community awareness for countless great causes. Aldo will be greatly missed by those who ever had the pleasure of knowing him.
