A challenge to go solar
I am writing in response to the outrage about the solar project at our city schools. I understand that some people have been affected by the solar arrays which now adorn our schools, but for Mrs. Ligon to compare a solar array to a nuclear power plant is ludicrous.
Those solar arrays that she refers to actually decrease our schools dependence on fossil fuels and help the environment. It also saves the schools money which they can use on more important things like educating our children on clean energy solutions. If we don't start making moves to decrease our dependence on polluting energy, our future generations will not have any of our beautiful Valley to look at.
Is it really the solar array that has decreased the value of your home, or the state of the economy that we find ourselves in? My home value has also decreased and I suggest increasing the value of your home by installing a solar array the way I have recently done. The incentives and rebates for solar energy are better than they have ever been and I challenge Sonomans to decrease their dependence on fossil fuels and go solar.
