'Save our schools'

May 13, 2011 - 05:54 PM
Lliam Goodman, 8, and his 10-year-old sister, Karllie Goodman, both Prestwood students, were among an estimated 200 educators, parents and children who protested state budget cuts Friday on the Plaza. The protesters chanted, “save our schools.” The event, which was organized by the Valley of the Moon Teachers Association and the California Teachers Association, called for voters to support tax extension to prevent deeper cuts to education. It was part of a state-wide, week-long series of actions to protect public education.
